More good news from Howie

15/06/20 21:00

Following today’s announcement that all restrictions have been lifted, we have a few pieces of work to finish off at the bandroom in readiness for us all to return to rehearsals.

With this in mind, we are looking to recommence as follows;

MCB - Fri 26 June
19:30 for an hour & to run through the plan for Tynwald Day

MYB - Sat 27 June
10:30 rehearsal
12:00 learner group
There will be no 1-2-1 lessons on this day, Ian will talk to everyone at rehearsal about the plans for this.

Following which we will return to rehearsals as normal;
MCB 19:30 Mon & Weds
MYB 19:00 Thurs
MYB 10:30 Sat

Good general hygiene will be the key for us all going forward. The bandroom has been deep cleaned in readiness, there will be new soap dispensers & paper towels in all toilets & the kitchen, and there will be hand gel dispensers around the building.

All players will be provided with a microfibre cloth to empty water out of their instrument on, this must be taken home and washed after every rehearsal.

For the time being, please use only the disposable cups & spoons for any drinks in the kitchen.

Important - your name’s not on the list.........it must be!!
We will be keeping a list of all people who are in the bandroom at every rehearsal, including non-players. This will enable us to provide details for contact tracing if necessary.

Equally important - if you do not feel well, or think you may be suffering with any of the given symptoms of Covid-19, you must compete the online questionnaire and follow guidance to contact 111 if necessary.

If for any reason you do not feel comfortable returning to rehearsals just yet, please send Ian a message or call on 470199 to let him know.

Whilst we’ve had to put a lot of plans to mark our 50th & 25th anniversaries on ice, we can hopefully now start planning some events & will keep you updated as and when details are confirmed.

Stay safe
