Message received from Garff Commissioners regarding cancellation of Prash Laxaa on Sunday 10th May 2020
Dear All
It is with much regret that Garff Commissioners have taken the decision to cancel this Year’s ‘Prash Laxaa - The Great Laxey Brass Band Festival’.
The Commissioners have a duty of care to yourselves, audiences, and their own staff.
In light of this they feel it would not be a responsible action to go ahead with the Festival this year due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
On behalf of the organising team at the Commissioners, I thank you for the efforts your band has put into the Festival since it was started in 2018.
The Commissioners will be organising the thirdt ‘Prash Laxaa’ in May 2021.
Thank you also for your assistance and input with the preparations for this year’s cancelled event. We will incorporate all your ideas into next year’s event.
We will miss you in Laxey this May, but look forward to the rush of colour and sound you bring to the Village in 2021.
