Following the updated advice from both the United Kingdom and Isle of Man Governments, a decision has been taken to cease all activities of both bands until further notice.
This includes rehearsals, concerts and any other band related activity, including events at the Jim Crosbie Memorial Bandroom.

This is a decision which has not been taken lightly, but has been made in consideration of the wellbeing of everyone connected with the organisation.

The recommendation from the Brass Bands England organisation reflects the UK Government advice to avoid all non-essential contact and to stop all in-person brass band activity for the foreseeable future.
Although the Isle of Man Government have not restricted public gatherings, there is an inherent risk with the type of activity undertaken by brass players, such as deep breathing and the proximity of players. The health and wellbeing of our members is of paramount importance.

A deep clean of the bandroom is also being arranged. The current situation will be reviewed on a regular basis in consideration of the most up to date Public Health advice and everyone is obviously keen for normality to resume as soon as possible.

In the interim, please ensure that you keep practicing at home in order to keep up our standards.
