The Regal Singers

The Regal Singers, a non-competitive choir, was founded in 1951 by Jack Jolley with the express purpose of entertaining others through their own enjoyment of music.

By performing popular light music, they appeal to the widest possible audiences on the Island - singing in concerts, cabaret, radio and television. Another product of their performances is the large amount of money raised annually for charity.

The present Musical Director, Allan Wilcocks, is well known as one of the Island's leading bass soloists, having won the Cleveland Gold Medal on four occasions. In great demand as a soloist both on and off the Island, Allan has a number of radio and television appearances to his credit.

The accompanist, Mrs. Wendy McDowell, is also a very talented arranger and is the present conductor of the Lon Dhoo Male Voice Choir.
